  • Do the lodges have hot tubs? All self-catering accommodation at Flusco Wood has its own private hot tub
  • Are the lodges dog friendly? We have a range of dog friendly and dog free accommodation. Please add your dog before making the booking to ensure you’re in a dog friendly lodge.
  • Can I leave my pet in the lodge if I want to go out? As per your booking T&C’s pets are not to be left unattended at any time in the lodges. Luckily we have lots of lovely pet friendly local establishments. so there is no need to leave them behind!
  • How do I see prices and availability? If you click on the “Book Now” tab it will take you to our Hoseasons listing where you will see prices, availability, and more photos.
  • How many do the lodges sleep? Our lodges sleep a maximum of 4 people, the standard set up is one double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The Askham Retreat is a one bedroom lodge designed for one couple.
  • Are there any lodges with two double beds? The Askham Deluxe is the only accommodation where the twins can be made into a double (please email in advance with this request).
  • Do the lodges have baths? Baths are in the following accommodation types: Helton Escape, Askham Deluxe, Askham Retreat, and Savannah. We have 3 Askham Premier lodges with baths (Harter, Hallin, and Helm), they can be requested subject to availability (please contact us).
  • Can I request a specific lodge? Yes, if you book direct you can request a specific lodge. If you are wanting to be moved into a specific lodge and you booked through Hoseasons, you can either contact them to request the lodge or we can move it for you which does incur an admin fee (please see our T&Cs for more details on fees). Please note we will do our best to ensure you get your requested lodge but we cannot guarantee it. Please contact us before booking to check if it’s available.
  • Groceries: The local town of Penrith (4 miles) has an abundance of supermarkets and other shops. Some supermarkets deliver to Flusco Wood. We request you meet them at Reception as they do not have access to our park map and don’t know where the individual lodges are located.
  • EV Charging: We have 2 rapid chargers at the entrance to the park. You will receive an email ahead of check in on how to sign up for a discounted rate. Please note that charging from lodge the lodge is not permitted. 
  • Can I get early check in or late check out?: Unfortunately we are unable offer early check in or late check out. During our quieter season we may be able to offer early check in for specific lodges and we will email eligible guests to offer it. 
  • Are linen, towels, and robes provided? We provide bed linen, towels, hand towels and bath mats. We are unable to supply robes at this time.
  • Are the dog friendly decks enclosed? Yes, all our dog friendly decks are enclosed and gated. We have videos on social media to show the type of fencing etc used.
  • Are the kitchens fully equipped? Yes, our kitchens are all fully equipped with oven, hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher (tablets provided), and standard utensils, cookware, and cutlery.
  • What type of coffee pods do I need to bring? The accommodation with coffee machines take pods compatible with Nespresso original style pods. We supply a couple of pods in the welcome pack.
  • Are there TVs in the bedrooms? All lodges with the exception of the Riverwood have a TV in the main bedroon. The Askham Deluxe has a TV in both bedrooms. 
  • Are they Smart TVs? Yes, all our TVs are smart TVs 
  • Do we provide guest extras? Yes, we have a range of optional packages. Please email info@fluscowood.co.uk for details and to arrange.
  • Do the lodges have washing machines? No, but we do have a laundry facility with coin operated washing machines (£4.80 per wash) and tumble dryers (£1 per 15 mins).
  • Is there an iron? We do not provide irons as standard, but you can request one from Reception after your arrival (subject to availability and cannot be prebooked).
  • Can I bring a BBQ? We do permit the responsible and safe use of BBQ’s as long as they are not placed directly on the decks, furniture, or grass as they cause irreparable damage. The lodges have a BBQ station you can use.
  • Are the hot tubs under cover? Only the Askham Retreat hot tub is under cover.
  • What facilities are on site? We have an enclosed dog walking area, large grounds to explore, a laundry room, and a small play area. We do not have an on site shop, bar, or restaurant but there are some fantastic local pubs and takeaways that deliver.
