Flusco Wood Accessibility Statement

Our park has pitches for both touring caravans and motor homes. We also have lodges on site but these are for purchase only. We offer a variety of pitches in a woodland setting. All pitches are generously proportioned, most are on hard standing with parking available alongside the caravan. If this would be helpful for you, please let us know when you make your reservation.

We take the safety of our customers very seriously and therefore there is a 10mph speed limit throughout the park, however we do not have any speed bumps that may hinder wheelchairs. The park itself is set on a hillside and there are gentle slopes between many sections.

As the park is quite small there are no dedicated disabled parking bays, however, there is direct parking both alongside the reception area and the shower/toilet block and there is ramp access to both these single level units.
There is no direct bus service from the park to the surrounding areas. For those that require assistance there is a local taxi firm that can provide wheelchair accessible transport ( Tel: 01768 870219)

The park has a small shop which provides basic goods, larger supermarkets nearby will provide an internet shopping service and deliver for you. Alternatively the park will collect groceries, they cannot supply in the shop, from the local supermarket for a charge.

Whilst the park does not have an induction loop at reception the staff have been trained to assist those who are hard of hearing/deaf. Furthermore we have written guidance for those who are hard of hearing/deaf covering everything they will need to know, including registration requirements.

The toilet shower block provides segregated male and female washing facilities with a disabled size unit in both. These units have grab handles for using the toilet, a low level sink and a level access shower unit.

The park is dog friendly with areas dedicated for dogs to use, in all areas you are asked to remove dog litter.
There is no facility to hire wheelchairs at the park.

The managers are available between 8am and 6pm and for emergencies outside these hours at the wardens lodge or by telephone (017684 80020).

There is good reception on most mobile networks and there is a coin operated phone available at the amenities block with single level access.
